I haven't always enjoyed waking up early - in fact, I used to hate it - but during the past year, I've slowly become a morning person. Now I actually look forward to mornings, so in this post, I'm going to talk about my summer morning routine. If you're looking for a lifestyle change that will help you start every day off right, keep reading. I swear by this! early bedtimeWaking up early starts with going to bed early. I used to be a natural night owl, but I started going to bed earlier and earlier, and eventually, I trained my body to fall asleep around 10:30 PM - 11:00 PM instead of 12:30 PM - 1:00 AM. Because of this, I'm able to naturally wake up at 7:30 AM - 8:00 AM instead of 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM!
organizationAfter I eat breakfast, I like to check my planners. The majority of my schedule goes in my personal planner: when I'm working, when my bills are due, etc. I also have a health planner in which I schedule my workouts and keep track of what I'm eating. If I check my planners first thing in the morning, I can be sure that I won't forget what I'm supposed to do and where I'm supposed to be. I also check my planners in the evening to check off tasks and journal my meals.
devotionalThe last part of my morning routine is reading a devotional. The one I'm reading right now is Make a Difference: 365 World-Changing Devotions by Ken Castor. On each day you are given a brief message, a verse that exemplifies that message, a follow-up prayer, and a way to incorporate that message into your day. It's the perfect way to end my morning because I can go into the rest of my day with love and intention. I hope you all enjoyed this little insight! Up next is my night routine. :) Thanks so much for reading, and don't forget to connect with me below: Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | Pinterest | YouTube
