My New Year's Resolution
My 2017 Planner If you've been reading my blog since the beginning, you would know that I usually buy Lilly Pulitzer agendas; however, I decided I wanted to start 2017 fresh with a new planner. One of my favorite YouTubers, Alexandrea Garza, talked about buying her new planner at Target, so that's where I went to look for mine. I ended up finding this Sugar Paper® Kraft Weekly Planner for only $15, and I can honestly say it's the coolest planner I've come across. It's unique in that it has monthly goals and weekly goals pages. See below for photos and more information! The planner begins with yearly calendars of 2017 and 2018. It also has a small pocket folder for miscellaneous items. It also has a "Quick Reference Information" page that includes a personal profile, emergency contact section, and friends and family section. In addition, there is a "Holidays" page and a couple pages for contacts. To start each month, there is a monthly calendar, monthly notes page, and monthly focus page. The focus page includes sections for work goals, personal goals, health goals, financial goals, things to focus on, and important dates. Having this focus page helps me to put my priorities in order and stay motivated throughout the month. The weekly planning pages are my favorite. On one side, there is a weekly focus page with sections for your top three, to do list, things to remember, weekly goal, to call list, to e-mail list, and to buy list. This is perfect for someone like me who has a million things going on at all times! There is also a notes section in the back of the planner in which I created a key for my color scheme. I always assign colors to parts of my life so when I open my planner, I can immediately identify tasks. The best colored pens I've found are the 12ct PILOT® Retractable Gel Pens. They're a little pricey ($12-14) but truly the best pens on the market. Both my boyfriend and best friend use them, so I had to get my hands on them! In addition to picking up my planner at Target, I also picked up this planner pad (pictured above). Having a designated pad of paper for writing down extra to-do's can be very helpful in staying on top of things. Plus, this particular one was only $3! Thanks for reading!

These are such cute planners, and very affordable too! Lately I only kept a journal and had my planning done online through calendars or spreadsheets, but I still find it fun to write down things :)

Thanks, girl! Online calendars are super handy, too, especially when you can sync them with your phone. There is something about writing things down though that I can't get enough of! :) xo

I love your planner and how you organize it! I used to use planners in high school, but then I switched to only using my phone. I decided to try planners again this year and I can't wait to start planning :)
