New Year's Day is all about fresh starts. It's the day to reset and recharge, make resolutions, set goals and intentions, and get into a new groove. Really, it's the perfect time to switch up your skincare routine. In 2017, I was disappointingly inconsistent in the skincare department. I say "disappointingly" because I've been struggling with acne for more than 6 years. And I know that it's possible to clear up those pesky spots with a solid skincare routine (and a healthy diet, of course). Luckily for me, my family knows me well, and they loaded me up with new products for the new year. In today's post, I'm going to share those products with you all, along with a few products that I already use. I plan on writing a review once I've been using the products for a couple months, but for now, I want to show you all what I'm working with! morningCLEANSER Yes To Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Cleanser ($9.99) My parents gave me some Yes To products, which are great for acne-prone skin. What I love about this cleanser so far is that it has little exfoliant bits in it. They really wake up my skin first thing in the morning. Side note: I also have the bar soap cleanser, and I love that, too. TONER Thayers Original Witch Hazel Astringent ($10.95) Witch Hazel is something I've been using for about a year now. It's an amazing natural toner. MOISTURIZER Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Gel Moisturizer ($28.50) I bought this moisturizer for myself very recently, so I can't give it an accurate review; however, I love Origins as a brand, so I have high hopes for it! EYE CREAM Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff ($31.00) I also just bought this eye cream, so like the moisturizer, I can't really review it yet. I do know that it is highly rated, and so far, I love the texture and scent. nightCLEANSING BALM Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm ($34.00) I actually just have the travel size of this balm, but I couldn't find that size online. Anyway, I love this stuff. It really does melt my makeup off (hence the name, meltaway cleansing balm). It is a little oily, but it doesn't bother me. I wash my face after I take my makeup off anyway! MAKEUP REMOVER WIPES
MICELLAR WATER Simple Micellar Cleansing Water ($7.99) This is another product that I've been using for awhile now. I take off my face makeup with a makeup wipe, and if I don't use the Farmacy balm to take off my eye makeup, I use this micellar water with a cotton pad. CLEANSER The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash ($14.99) My boyfriend's mom bought me some tea tree products from The Body Shop for Christmas, which was so thoughtful. I love tea tree oil, so to have it in my everyday skincare routine is perfect. TONER The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Mattifying Toner ($5.00) This was another gifted product, and I can't say much about it yet. I've only used it a few times! MOISTURIZER Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins Mineral-Enriched Renewal Cream ($44.00) Like the other Origins products I hauled, this was recently purchased. In fact, I ordered this one today, so I haven't even received it yet. That being said, I'm very excited to try it out! |
The Body Shop Skin Clearing Clay Mask ($17.00) If you have acne, you need this clay mask. It works like magic - I'm not even exaggerating! | Giovanni D:tox System Purifying Facial Mask ($9.99) I like using this charcoal and volcanic ash mask because it really clears my skin of any build-up. |
FACE BRUSH
Vanity Planet Ultimate Skin Spa Facial Cleansing System ($129.99)
Having a facial brush system might be the real secret to having clear skin. I love my Ultimate Skin Spa, and I highly recommend it to anyone, of any age, with any skin type. Tip: it goes on sale all the time, so don't buy it full price. I bought mine for only $39.99!

I hope you all enjoyed this sneak peek at my new (and used) skincare products. I can't wait to see how my morning and night routine come together. I'll be sure to update you all once I've developed an opinion on each product. Don't forget to connect with me below for updates. :) Thanks for reading!
